Root Beer Review #35 – Big Ben’s Root Beer

Now for Tuesday Root Beer: Big Ben’s. I don’t think they had a graphic designer help with the font:

The more I look at the label, the less it appears like “Ben’s” and more like something else. The font is wrong. I don’t want Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum, I want a deep & rich tasting root beer.

I’m a sucker for non-rectangular UPC symbols, but it’s not going to cut it.

This Pennsylvania root beer doesn’t hold up the rigorous taste testing that Logan and I give all our root beers.

Logan: “It tastes diet”

I can’t disagree with her. It wasn’t like Scrooge McDuck’s money pit, deep and rich, but closer to two bits. It wasn’t awful, but I also certainly didn’t want another one.  It’s not a good sign when one is enough.  I’m going to let this one pass: it’s not all about the looks, but the combination of the logo and the taste didn’t fare well.
