Weekend Recap: February 13-15

Snow. Blah blah blah. Wind. Blah Blah Blah. Drifts. Etc. Whatever.

For those of you not on the east coast, we’re supposed to get more this week. Derek has big plans to snowboard off the roof. Which seems dangerous, but the snow drifts in the back yard are nearly touching the garage roof, so it’s really no big deal at this point.

We were sick of being cooped up, so we decided to dig.

It was surprisingly easy to get the initial shape.

I gotta say, pretty comfy.

We built up the snow a little to block the wind a little.

I’ve always wanted a conversation pit.

The sun came out and Derek took advantage.

We decided to try out the conversation pit in the sun.

Derek made me get in the gopher pit.

But I escaped!

The pit is pretty fun.

The snow has compacted at this point despite being so powdery coming down.

Our little tree that a squirrel planted a couple of years ago is still going strong.

The snow banks are getting pretty intense.

Driveway drifts are annoying but pretty.

I’m 5’3″.

Really, really cold.
