When I was a kid, my favorite movie to watch for Halloween was The Worst Witch. I really wanted to be a witch when I was a little kid. Well, it was one of a few options. I also wanted to be, in no particular order:
1. A witch
2. A spy or some kind of secret agent
3. A pool shark
4. A fighter pilot
5. An actress
These were all pretty unlikely career choices, and being a witch was obviously the least likely to happen, but I still fantasized about it. And The Worst Witch is just so endearing. Plus, Tim Curry is a delight and who doesn’t love Mrs. Garrett? So if you’re looking for a super cheesy 80s movie to watch to get you in the mood for Halloween, this is my suggestion. Skip to 46:05 to see Tim Curry being absolutely ridiculous.
