The Simpsons and Livers

There is a Simpsons marathon showing all 522 episodes on FXX starting today at 10AM. IGN kindly put together a summary of when each season will be shown and the full episode schedule. If you tune in between August 21 at 10AM and midnight September 2, you’ll only see The Simpsons. Aye Carumba!

Here are the episodes I found that are liver-related.

8/23 9:30 AM ET Deep Space Homer: Barney stops drinking alcohol and gets almost super-human skills while training to go to space

8/23 12:00 PM ET The Boy Who Knew Too Much: During jury deliberations Jasper says “Let’s Vote. My liver is failing.”

8/23 6:30 PM ET Fear of Flying: Homer’s liver has it’s only speaking part and says: “Yay!”

8/23 9:30 PM ET Homer vs. Patty and Selma: Homer says “I’ll make the money back by selling one of my livers. I can get by with one.”

8/24 10:00 AM ET Homer the Smithers: Daredevil Lance Murdoch is hospitalized with cirrhosis of the liver.

8/25 10:00 AM ET The Last Temptation of Krust: The Bloated Liver bar makes an appearance

8/25 7:00 PM ET Homer Simpson in: “Kidney Trouble”: Dr. Hibbert says that “Hagman took all the kidneys and livers needed for donors”

8/30 7:30 AM ET Treehouse of Horror XIX: Chief Wiggum gets shot and says “I always thought I’d die of hepatitis”

9/1 4:30 AM ET A Tree Grows in Springfield – The bloated Liver bar makes another appearance

Did I miss any important episodes? What’s your favorite Simpsons reference?

  1. Whichever episode Ralph says “my cat’s breath smells like catfood.”

Or maybe Mr Plow when Homer turns the radio dial to keep the plow from falling off the cliff.
