Currently we are digesting our high-protein buttermilk pancakes–Derek’s were extra high protein since layers of peanut butter were added to the stack–and watching the French Open.
Next, we plan to tackle this puzzle, thoughtfully sent to us by my good friend Stephanie.
When it arrived, months ago, Derek said, “I think this is for you.” I reminded him that while I do enjoy Downton Abbey, he loves a puzzle, so it was really the perfect couple gift. We can actually make it a theme activity since our lovely pals Adrian, Laura and their tiny one, Poppy, gave us this tea.
After that, there will likely be a rainy day nap, I might make some rainy day soup, and there’s a fighting chance that ice cream bon bons and cheesecake from Trader Joe’s will be consumed. But no promises.

Yummy post about yummy eats. As an alleged “foodie”, keep ‘er going in more ways than twos, and threes. Luv!
Your rainy day agenda sounds awesome! When you finish that puzzle, let me know if Derek has a hankering for more – I have some I’d be happy to lend!
Sounds fabulous! Enjoy! Esp. the company and cheesecake 🙂
Great, now I have a craving for cheesecake. Hope there was lots of real maple syrup on those pancakes.
