UPDATE:
Derek is back in his room and according to his parents in some pain. It’s to be expected. I’m hoping to muster a little need to walk down there tonight and see him with my eyeballs. I feel a little narcoleptic today. My body is using all of its available energy to grow the liver back.
Sorry for the delay in posting. I had to have a little procedure of my own! Derek is out of the OR and his parents are waiting to see him in the PACU. His surgeon said it went well. More later as he should be back to his room later tonight.

Thank you for the update. You two are incredible! I can’t even imagine how painful and exhausting this whole thing is. I’m impressed that you have enough energy to update us all. Take care! I hope your remaining liver is doing ok!
