Our friend Catherine showed us a nice little tool/app called MyFitnessPal which helps us keep track of what we’re eating. It’s both free and useful! It’s designed for weight loss & tracking calories but it also shows the other important parts of the food diet including protein, fiber, carbohydrates and sodium. For Logan and me, it’s going to give us a good way to track our daily protein intake.
I’ll give kudos to the MyFitnessPal user community for entering foods into the database. Almost everything that Logan and I have eaten so far has been easy to look up either directly or by scanning a barcode. The best part of this app? It’s available as a website, in the Apple Store, in the Kindle app store, and yes, I can even get it for my Blackberry.
